Veering off travel – just for a minute or two…
I have been disappointed to read so many nasty comments regarding the new royal baby in the UK. At the most basic, a couple has their first child and from all news, mother and child are healthy and well. As a side note, the child is now in line to someday be one of England’s Kings. This is pretty high up on the “importance” meter in the UK and was darn good news all around.
But there is so much dysfunction in the world, people seem unable to be happy – just for a minute – for someone else. If I was looking for a travel tie-in for this article it would be “Destination – Nicer Planet.”
If you really don’t care about this birth then don’t read about it. If you don’t care about it, don’t read about it and THEN take some of your time to write something nasty. I read at least 10 comments online yesterday along the lines of “Why do I care?” Well, if you don’t care, then don’t comment. We who are glad to read some happy news – about anyone – don’t CARE that you don’t care.
Perhaps some of these people are just too jaded by reality TV to appreciate something simple. If Prince William has not been on YouTube smoking crack, and Princess Katherine has not revealed her body parts to the general public, some people will find them totally uninteresting. Good – then go comment on that dysfunctional, self-promoting and embarrassing US clan I refuse to mention by name – and quit being so nasty.
There isn’t much “fairy tale” left in this world. If you can appreciate a moment of it, do so. If you can’t, just walk away…
